The Christmas Season is almost here, and that means time to spruce up your home or figure out your favorite gift idea for the hostess throwing a beautiful holiday party. In light of the season and paying homage to my favorite talk show host Oprah, I am posting about my favorite home goods.
Oprah always had an episode close to the holidays where she shared her favorite things. I asked several of my family and friends to tell me their favorite items for the home. When I say my girls stepped up to the plate to share some wonderful and amazing items, I really mean it! It was hard to only pick a few – thank you to those that contributed.
Here are a few of my favorite:
1. Deep Steep Fig Apricot Argan Liquid Hand Soap
First of all, I absolutely love this soap. I received it a while ago as a gift and have since purchased it on my own. The hint of apricot makes for a pleasant scent on your hands and the argan oil really nourishes your hands and leaves them extra moisturized. This makes a perfect hostess gift!
2. William Sonoma Linen Double Hemstitch Table Runner
This table runner is perfect for dressing up your everyday kitchen table and making it put together or can be dressed up to be the perfect spread for your formal family dinner. Furthermore, it is machine washable and irons greatly.
3. Wooden Glass Canister
I am obsessed with canisters and lanterns and how versatile they are in decorating. I recently purchased a new wooden glass canister from a local furniture store in Upper Arlington called Trove and have changed the decor in the canister with each season. When it isn’t filled with faux pumpkins or leaves or full of glass ornaments this holiday season, I have added faux succulents to give more color into our family room. If you’re not local to Columbus and are looking for a similar product try the Park Hill Lantern from Pottery Barn.
Featured Friend’s Favorite Things:
1. Bona Hardwood Floor Cleaner
Ashley in Upper Arlington just moved into a beautiful home that is full of hardwood floors. As a result, Ashley uses the Bona Pro Series Hardwood Floor Cleaner because she understands that it is important to take care of her floors in the right way. Ashley said how easy it is to clean with Bona products and loves how beautiful her floors look after she is done.
2. Rewined Candle
Courtney of Westerville uses Rewined Candles to scent her house. The candles are placed in old wine bottles and are different wine scents. Rewined was started in 2009 out of Charleston, South Carolina which is one my favorite all time cities. Courtney enjoys spreading Rewined candles all throughout her home and they make wonderful gifts.
3. West Elm Streamline Coffee Table
Michelle in Westerville recently purchased West Elm’s Streamline coffee table. Most of all, Michelle enjoys the simple design of the table and raved about the customer service and assistance of the associates at West Elm. The mix of wood and metal on this table make it very versatile and pair beautifully with other pieces in your home.
These are just a few of my favorite home goods this holiday season. Don’t forget to share your favorite things with me in the comments below or contact me directly. I love hearing about all the various decor that inspire others and am always looking for new inspiration.
